My name is Jillian, and I am looking to expand my career in editing and copywriting!
I've loved writing since I was a little kid. I developed my academic writing throughout university by working as a research assistant with professors and completing an honors thesis in History.
However, I spent my college years preparing for a career in museums. I worked in various roles at The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village, the Smithsonian Institute Archives, and the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History.
While I love working in museums, I decided not to pursue graduate school during the pandemic and have instead spent the last two years working as a Public Engagement and Event Coordinator. This position exposed me to the world of editing and copywriting, and I discovered that I could center my entire job around my passion for writing!
I'm looking forward to learning more about the copywriting and editing world as I find my voice
