FREE taster week
for young writers
(a college full of short and long courses on all things copywriting)

Do you want to write for a living?
Were you told 'BECOME A TEACHER' at school, even though you made it crystal fucking clear that...well...you wanted to WRITE?
Don't worry. I was told all that shit too. It's just one of those bullshit canon moments that every young writer has to go through.
oh and hi, my name's Carolyn; I'm a 26 year old copywriter who's been writing for a living for EIGHT YEARS now. I'm also the founder of Word Tonic. And just like you, I never thought writing for a living was possible
And my journey into the professional writing industry was not EASY. I literally:
- grew up with alcoholic parents who told me I couldn't
- went to uni, ONLY TO QUIT UNI because I couldn't afford it
- became an escort to get by and got into drugs and -

So, yeah
If you're feeling behind and like your career is a big fucking blank, just know I did ALL THAT shit and still made it through to the other side.
And so because of all I went through, my mission with Word Tonic is simple; help young people GET TO THE OTHER SIDE.
Help them write for a living
And you can too with our free COPYWRITING TASTER WEEK
WTF is this taster week?
Now, here at Word Tonic we have a bunch of hot online courses.
Courses that are designed to show you the way and help you make a living from writing…even if you have no experience.
But the one we think you'll love the most is the 'SELL YOURSELF WITHOUT THE ICK' course.

A course that shows you to market yourself online as a young writer - even if you have no experience.
A course that shows you how to use LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok to get your first paid clients.
A course that's instructed by hot people your own age - not a 50 year old professor who never actually tried chasing their dreams.

Now usually this writing course costs MONEY.
Buttttttt we've decided to open up a totally free taster week where you can dive into the course; FOR FREE.
Soak up some of the juicy learning material and finally start writing for a living.
Kinda like a preview.
And the best part?
You'll literally get to hop on live 'classroom' calls with me for the whole week.

We'll be doing a masterclass on how to use LinkedIn to get noticed as a young writer (and no, it's not all fucking business-y).
We'll be doing a lil intro call where you get to meet your other 'taster week classmates'
OH and there'll even be a graduation call to celebrate getting through the whole week.
spots are limited! so get in fast before we close!
and the way we teach is totally different

You see that bitch wearing a grey wig in the photo?
That's..uhm..that's me
You see, for this taster week I literally transform into your teacher. Grey wig, white blouse and all.
I'm also kind of weird
If you've seen our Instagram posts, you know that already:

So best BE BELIEVED that this taster week isn't going to be boring.
And it's not going to be a normal 'teaching/back to school experience.'
I will fucking swear in our lessons
Weird shit will happen (like maybe meeting a hamster on call.)

we only have 50 spots, so get in soon!
TASTER WEEK DIARIES
Have a looksie at some of our past TASTER WEEK students' experiences
📖 Dear Diary,
What a absolute whirlwind of a week.
I officially finished Word Tonic’s "Sell Yourself Without the Ick" college taster week, and honestly? My brain is buzzing in the best way possible.
Self-promotion has always felt a bit cringe to me, but the live lesson on creating LinkedIn posts was a total game-changer. I picked up some super helpful, practical tips that actually made writing for LinkedIn feel natural—and totally ick-free.
The real test, though, was the breakout rooms. Carolyn, our fearless Word Tonic leader, lovingly pushed me right out of my comfort zone to jump in and participate. I was definitely nervous at first, but having that gentle nudge was exactly what I needed. It turned out to be such a warm, supportive space.
By the end of the week, joining was a complete no-brainer. I officially signed up for Word Tonic’s 2-month residency program! Looking back now, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. That single taster week opened the door to a whole community, and I’ve already met so many genuinely amazing people because of it.
Here’s to stepping outside the comfort zone and finding your crowd! 🚀 ✨

Dear Diary,
Today was the day of the taster call. How was I feeling? Nervous? Excited? On a roller coaster that you can’t escape from.
Soitjustkeepsgoingaroundandaround.
Yeah. All three.
But I wanted to try, if only to put myself a bit more out there, to declare to the world: ‘I AM REBECA HEAR ME ROAR!’
Well, maybe not the roar part. I’m a sloth‑speed Leo.
Turns out I was worried for nothing. The call was a blast. Like being back at school, except fun — which I didn’t know was possible.
Also: hot teacher. Ahem. Looking respectfully, Miss McMurray.
Anyway. Mind out of the gutter. It wasn’t that kind of lesson. She was simply dominating us with… ICE BREAKERS.
Yes. Those things that make you cringe at school. But when you’re trapped going willingly into a room with like‑minded people it’s not so bad.
We were told to discuss things we hate with a passion. You know, the kind of things that make you curse at the TV, that make you boil over in rage and erupt like Mt. Vesuvius.
Those things.
Unfortunately, I’ve been watching the news, so my brain was already marinating in politics. Which meant my answer was obvious:
The tango man. Donald Trump. Enough said.
So, I hear you ask, what’s the point of talking about hate?
Well, the point is we then WROTE about what we hated. And that, in fact, can tell you a lot about…
TONE OF VOICE.
Because to hate is to feel passionate vitriol about something, and that then reveals a lot about YOU and also your WRITING STYLE.
That was the end of day one, dear diary, and it left me excited for day 2.

you read this far...might as well

did you spot the lie?

THE LIE WASSSSS...
...
THE MY LITTLE PONY BS.
The name 'Word Tonic' didn't come from a program about talking pink ponies.

And if you read this far, you think we're pretty cool too.
So.
