OK but who dafaq are you?

We're Word Tonic; a community of 1,000 GEN-Z copywriters. We're basically like Duolingo but for young people that wanna learn how to write for a living. We do masterclasses with brands like Duolingo and Marvel, briefs to build your portfolio and more.

We were founded by Carolyn (I'm actually the one writing this right now, eugh).

I'm 24 years old and started out copywriting at 18, with no degree. To get personal, I grew up in a family of alcoholics - there was lots of fighting. I'm sure you get the picture. I also didn't have tonnes of money growing up. My dad was a postman and my mum was a nanny.

I never knew copywriting existed at school until one day I stumbled across it online and thought 'writing for a living SOUNDS NICE.'


I created Word Tonic to be a more accessible (fun) alternative to spending £9000 on an advertising degree.  So feel free to watch our prerecorded webinar; it'll:

- go over the basics of copywriting
- a few tips on how YOU can get started in the industry from scratch
-as well as what Word Tonic is (we've got a lil gift for you!)
